⚠️ Important Notice: Check Port Direction and Power Functions

1. Connect the two USB 2.0 Type-A male plugs into two available USB ports on your PC or computer host.
2. The dual male plugs serve distinct roles: the standard male plug supports both data transfer and power, while the red-marked male plug provides auxiliary extra power only.
3. The red-marked power plug does not transmit data and is not intended for charging iOS devices.
4. Check your hardware ports, power requirements and external drive specifications before ordering.

Frequently Asked Questions FAQ

Q: Can both USB male plugs transfer data simultaneously?
A: No. One male plug carries both data sync and power, while the red-marked plug provides auxiliary power only.

Q: Why does my external hard drive need a dual USB cable?
A: Certain external drives require more power than a single standard USB 2.0 port can supply. Drawing power from two ports provides the extra current needed for stable operation.

Q: Does this cable require any driver setup?
A: No, it is entirely plug and play with standard USB 2.0 compatible equipment.
