⚠️ Important Notice: 5Gbps Orientation, Video Output & OTG Setup

1. Single-Sided 5Gbps SuperSpeed Alignment: This compact adapter features a single-sided 5Gbps high-speed transmission design. If your device initially detects USB 2.0 transfer rates (up to 480Mbps), simply unplug the Type-C connector, flip it 180 degrees, and plug it back in to activate full 5Gbps SuperSpeed USB 3.0 performance.
2. Data and Peripherals Only (No Video Output): This adapter is engineered for data synchronization, OTG peripherals, and standard charging. It does NOT support transmitting video signals (such as HDMI, DisplayPort, or VGA) to external monitors.
3. Device OTG Function Required: When connecting to smartphones or tablets, ensure your device supports USB OTG functionality. Some Android smartphone models require manually enabling "OTG Connection" in your system settings before external flash drives or peripherals appear.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Why does my data transfer speed show as USB 2.0 (around 40MB/s)?
A: This adapter features a single-sided 5Gbps transmission pathway. If your computer or phone registers USB 2.0 speeds, simply unplug the Type-C connector, flip it over 180 degrees, and reinsert it to engage the USB 3.0 high-speed pins.

Q: Can I use this adapter to connect my laptop to an external monitor via HDMI cable?
A: No. This adapter supports data transfer and peripheral connection (mice, keyboards, flash drives), but does not support video signal output to displays.

Q: Why is my flash drive not showing up when connected to my Android smartphone?
A: First, ensure your phone supports OTG and check if "OTG Connection" needs to be enabled manually in system settings. Second, make sure your flash drive is formatted in exFAT or FAT32, as NTFS is not supported by most Android devices.
