Important Notice

1. This adapter has a Mini DisplayPort female socket for a Mini DP male cable and a DisplayPort male plug. It is not a Micro HDMI or Micro USB adapter.
2. For bidirectional operation, check that the source outputs video through its port and the destination accepts the corresponding signal. Matching connector shapes alone do not guarantee every function.
3. Up to 8K at 60Hz or 4K at 144Hz is a maximum, not a guarantee for every setup. The source, display, cable and other connected equipment must support the selected resolution and refresh rate. A Thunderbolt 2 port with a Mini DisplayPort-shaped connector does not by itself guarantee every video feature.

Frequently Asked Questions

1. Which cable fits the Mini DisplayPort side?
A Mini DisplayPort male cable fits the adapter's Mini DisplayPort female socket. The other end of the adapter is a full-size DisplayPort male plug.

2. Can it be used in both directions?
Bidirectional transmission requires the connected source to output the required video signal and the destination to accept it. Check the particular ports on both devices.

3. Will it always display 8K at 60Hz or 4K at 144Hz?
No. These are upper limits that require compatible source and display capabilities, the appropriate cable and a supported configuration.

4. Is this the same as Micro HDMI or Micro USB?
No. This adapter uses Mini DisplayPort female and full-size DisplayPort male connectors.
