It cannot transmit data backwards from a PS/2 motherboard port to USB devices.

Q: Do I need to restart my computer when plugging in my keyboard or mouse?
A: No. While traditional PS/2 ports on older motherboards were not hot-swappable, this adapter converts the signal into standard USB HID protocol, allowing hot-plugging without restarting your computer.

Q: Why does my mouse or keyboard not respond after plugging it in?
A: Because the two PS/2 ports are routed to distinct keyboard and mouse controller channels, the plugs may be reversed. Simply swap the positions of the two PS/2 plugs, and the system should recognize both devices immediately.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0988/4830/9551/files/01_f6a9afe8-14b4-42a9-b3ec-f44ff626a506.jpg?v=1791620314
